When I host Indie Cruise, I use several apps to save time and keep our group connected on the go.
Here are some of my favorite apps for group travel.
When you host an annual international destination retreat, you have to keep track of a lot of miscellaneous financial information. From flights to ground transportation to excursions and spa … and don’t forget the gratuities for the poeple who help us have the best time possible. This free app can be automatically synced to include expenses charged to your credit cards. You can also use it to scan receipts and create expense reports. It’s a great tool for me to see exactly how much money I spent while on Indie Cruise.
- Facebook Groups
Each year, we update the Indie Cruise Facebook group to include all of our registered attendees. For the most part, that is where our advance planning takes place, but during Indie Cruise Mastermind, the group provides an easy way for everyone to stay in touch no matter where they are on the cruise ship, resort, or on a fun excursion. Instead of texting or calling, we can check tag people in the group and quickly find out where they are and what they are doing.
Music is so uplifting. When I feel my positive mindset dissipating for some reason, I head over to Spotify and find an uplifting playlist. Some of my favorites are Have a Great Day!, Feelin’ Good. I love a good tune to make traveling less stressful, and to make the most of the personal retreat time I enjoy Indie Cruise. Pandora is another great, but I prefer Spotify.
Download Spotify here. You’ll need to choose the free or premium version. I chose the premium service because it includes unlimited repeats and skips, no ads and other perks.
- Insight Timer
Insight Timer aggregates guided meditations from teachers around the world, and is fast becoming my meditation app of choice. I was hooked the first time I tried it. I selected a 60-minute sleep meditation and was passed out after about 10 minutes or so.
Choose from long or short meditations, or select a meditation that suites your mood. Examples include Movement, Relax, Mindfulness, Anxiety, etc. You can also choose different languages.
